King Street gets its first genuine taste of the Northern Quarter with the opening of Mash Tun; a live music venue with real ale and gastro pub food in the heart of Manchester City Centre. Mash Tun is fulfilling the dream of Adam Regan and Scott Martin to open a live music venue with genuine high quality bistro food with the best real ale Manchester can offer. Martin, whose building trade expertise has been invaluable in the conversion of Mash Tun, has a passion for real ale and is behind the best selection of local cask and keg ales on King Street – 24 taps on an impressive new long bar.


The venue is perfect to experience the relaxed Northern Quarter vibe in the heart of the City, with a live music stage set in the natural focal point of the room with a fantastic sound system. An amazing pewter bar, running the entire length of the room, as you enter, serves real ale, cocktails, spirits and wines whilst an open glass fronted cellar has 24 different ales on show. The live kitchen in the centre of the room serves tasty food all day and night, with over a thousand combinations of Bangers & Mash from Head Chef Nick Moore.
