"Whilst the waitress was excellent at The Bridge, the quantity and the quality of the food needs to be improved." - Christine Crompton, Worsley - member since Sep 2008 (13/12/10 - visited on a Saturday evening)
"I was probably a couple of years too late in making my first visit to this previously renowned gastro pub as The Bridge seems to have dumbed down to basic pub grub which you could get anywhere. Very disappointing experience. Maybe Monday lunch isn't the best time for any restaurant but it seems really weird that all the lunchtime main courses were unavailable but they could do the evening main courses. We wanted more than just a bar snack so went for 2 Fillet Steaks and 1 Chicken Supreme. The chicken went down well but the fillet steaks at £18.95 were a real letdown. Not the greatest meat and certainly not the best presented meal - a couple of onion rings, 3 small mushrooms and a fancy cut grilled tomato, burnt at the edges were the pathetic sides on the plate. Very uninspiring but at least the chips tasted Ok, even though they didn't look it! No surprise at all that we were the only people to eat in the restaurant and the bar area was very quiet. The only good thing to say is that the bar staff were very friendly and efficient"- Ian, Stockton Heath ~ TRUSTED REVIEWER (7/3/08, visited on a monday lunch)
