Taverna, Manchester |

In
the shadow of Manchester’s magnificent Town Hall, The
Armenian Taverna is a unique experience within the city,
being the only restaurant serving dishes from Armenia, but is also
influenced by the cuisines of Turkey, Greece, Iran and other Arab
nations. old established restaurant |
The
Armenian Taverna's most famous dish is The Armenian
Banquet consisting of a range of starters
including hummus & falafel, a main course of
a selection of the chef’s mixed kebab (chicken & minced
lamb), lamb chop and pork cooked over charcoal, and to finish a
dessert of coffee and an Armenian delight!. And
non-meat eaters don't miss out either with the Vegetarian
Banquet. For full details see below, but this is an experience
not to be missed. |
The
Armenian Taverna is steeped in tradition. The decor is very ornate
and quirky, with memorabilia collected from over the years and painted
frescos adorn the walls. All of which go to create a cosy, welcoming
atmosphere. . |

Taverna - Reviews |
"We
went into the Armenian Tavern not really knowing what to expect.
Fine quality ingredients are used, and the range of dishes available
is amazing. The Armenian Banquet, which comes as a three-course
meal, is a great mixture of meats and salads and ideal for those
who wish to sample as much of this cuisine as possible. The decor
is very much in keeping with the cuisine, like a little part of
Armenia in Manchester. We really look forward returning to sample
more treats from this part of the world."
