Obsidian
Bar and restaurant is the intiguing name of an exciting new restaurant
concept in Manchester city centre, which takes it's design inspiration
from the buzzy uptown restaurants of New York and it's food influence
in equal parts from the North West and Modern European cooking. |
The
breathtaking Obsidian is located in the heart of Manchester city
centre directly beneath the fabulous new Arora International Hotel.
|
The
design of Obsidian is as impressive as the team involved in the
project. Inspired by the upscale glamour of the Big Apple, the designers
have created a magnificent space which blends Aberesque with Sex
and the City. A petrified tree feature and polished marble-floored
staircase greets diners at the door and takes them down into the
main restaurant, where white Moroccan-style curved ceilings and
walls complement intimate rounded leather booths. |
The
flooring is richly coloured mahogany and redwood, while the stunning
50ft frosted glass bar is backlit with aquamarine neon, and boasts
tall chairs, long mirrors and angled strip lighting which changes
'moods' during the day and night. |
A
perfect spot for Manchester's very own Carrie Bradshaws, Obsidian
also offers a fabulous location for a anyone who wishes to experience
excellence in fine dining in an exclusive restaurant in the heart
of this extremely bustling city. |
