In the heart of the Northern Quarter, the English Lounge is as the name suggests the most 'English' of venues with leather sofas, bookshelves, prints on the walls and lots of dark wood setting the tone.
Spread over two floors, with the upstairs lighter and brighter, with a cream and aubergine colour scheme, The English Lounge serves food from noon until 9pm every day, with a well-priced selection of British dishes with international flavours on offer.
There's a good selection of wines and cask ales too whilst The English Lounge is also notably female-friendly.
Overlooking the Arndale Market, The English Lounge is the ideal place to grab a bite of lunch or to rest those weary feet after a hard day's shopping.
