| | "Popped in to the Armenian Taverna at 9 on a Saturday night - we hadn't booked. Despite being busy they made us a table. Excellent place, really lively and the food was perfect. We shared the mezze and a few starters with the speciality lavash flatbreads. Because everything looked so tasty, we couldn't decide what to eat! |  "The Armenian Taverna is an ideal place for a quick, no fuss, reasonably priced meal with a different touch to it. Armenian definitely isn't something which you would think about eating off the top of your head, but if you like Turkish/Greek food, then this place cant really disappoint with its simple, well cooked, tasty fayre. Plenty of grilled meats, fish, salads, hummous, rice, etc.
It's bordering on being a bit of a Manchester institution these days, after so many years of being open, and I'd definitely suggest anybody visiting it, if only for the experience.

| | "I went into the Armenian Tavern not really knowing what to expect. I thought it may be overly spicy, but I was very pleased at how well everything was cooked. Good quality ingredients had been used, and the range of dishes available was overwhelming. My friend and I ordered the Armenian Banquet, as we had never had the cuisine of Armenia before, so we wished to sample as many variations as possible. It even came with a sparkler, which is standard for anyone that chooses that dish. There was a great mixture of meats and salads on the platter, and by the end I was very full, especially as the banquet comes as a thee course meal. The decor is very much in keeping with the cuisine, and I would expect this place to be a real hive of excitement in the evening time.
