Just across the road from The Palace Theatre and a short walk to the Manchester Academy and the universities, you'll find Zouk, the sumptuous new sister branch of the award winning Halal Indian restaurant in Bradford.
The brainchild of a unique and dedicated family team. Amjad 'Peter' Bashir and his sons, Mudassar and Tayub, share a passion for good food, and have dreamt of creating a new generation all day restaurant that fuses authentic Lahore cuisine with healthy eating and a stylish setting, a contemporary tea bar and grill that would be the kind of place you could enjoy visiting and socialising with family or friends - essentially more than a restaurant.

The £1million Manchester restaurant, just off Oxford Road, near the BBC studios, accommodates up to 200 diners, with a mezzanine and alfresco dinning.

Zouk is a different concept from the average Asian restaurant. They were the first Asian restaurant in Bradford to adopt an open kitchen, so that customers could see what was happening and how hygenic the chefs were, and the Manchester branch continues this idea.
Zouk Manchester boasts an extended menu with dishes such as Beggers Chicken, chicken coated in clay to keep the meat moist, and Full Leg of Lamb, Turkey and Duck, roasted on embers and served on skewers, a traditional dish from Baluchistan known as Sajji.
 
 
 
 

The top rate chefs at Zouk use only the very freshest Halal ingredients, assuring you get the highest possible quality in authentic Indian Cuisine.

There are healthy eating options, dishes cooked on a Sigri charcoal grill which helps retain the full flavours of the meat whilst burning of the fat.
A wide choice of speciality vegetarian dishes are available and the choice of seafood dishes is unrivalled in any other Asian restaurant in Manchester. Red Snapper, Halibut, Monk Fish, Sea Bass, Salmon, Black Cod and Lobster are all given the Zouk special treatment.
From traditional curries, Karahi and Handi dishes to grilled steaks and 100% gourmet cut burgers, the menu at Zouk should please everybody.

Family Day at Zouk
Every Sunday from 12pm until 5pm is Family Day at Zouk Manchester.
Children are made to feel especially welcome with a small area set aside full of toys, books, and crayons. Parents can enjoy the mouth watering food safe in the knowledge their little ones are playing safely nearby.
And once they've built up an appetite from all that fun, Zouk's chefs will especially prepare child meals specifically according to their parents request (i.e not hot and spicy, smaller portion sizes, and even freshly made chips).

"The menu at Zouk is incredible. There is plenty on here to keep everybody happy. From tandoori Karahi and Handi bowls to Jalfrezis, Pasandas, Kormas and Biryanis, it's not just curries. Char-grilled fillet steaks are joined by 100% gourmet cut burgers and barbeque Schwarma roasts. A large vegetarian selection is made up of mainly spicy dishes although it's the huge seafood menu that we were most looking forward to. Manchester has been crying out for a restaurant which can offer a selection of tiger king prawns, haddock, salmon, red snapper, halibut, monk fish, sea bass, black cod, lobster and scallops.
