 | | | | | Red Chilli Chinese Restaurant Manchester - reader comments | | "We just fancied a Chinese meal, some nice ribs, a nice sizzling steak dish and a fried chicken with chilli dish, egg fried rice and away you go. Red Chilli was very enjoyable, good food, good ambience, nice bottle of Pino Grigio. We both enjoyed ourselves and are going back this Friday." - Chris, Winsford 10/2/09 (visited on a Friday lunch) |
| | "We had a good laugh here, my friend took up the challenge of having his dish extra hot, and the waitress had a great sense of humour. The sauce with the pork dish was superb." - Gareth Williams, Wales 18/12/08 (visited on a Tues afternoon) |
| | "The best Chinese restaurant I have been to. Breaks the mold, not just the usual Sweet & Sour Pork (although they have that too). Just like eating in China. Marvellous." - Paul Griffin, Rawtenstall 8/6/08 (visited on a Sat afternoon) |
| | "The Red Chilli is just on the edge of Manchester's China Town and is Manchester's best Chinese. You have the choice of two menus. The usual Cantonese which is great, or the spectacular Sichuan with a whole manner of funky named dishes! The latter menu is sheer delight and if you're prepared to experiment, you won't be disappointed. The staff are really helpful, portions are huge and it's fantastic value for money. Be prepared to wait for a table, it's worth it. Enjoy." - Helen Ferguson, Merseyside 5/5/08 (visited on a Sat evening) |
| | "Very disappointed with this restaurant. After making a group booking for 10 people days in advance and arriving on time, we were instructed very impolitely to wait outside for 20 minutes and were told that we should have made our booking earlier! The restaurant was very busy (being Chinese New Year) and they had clearly over-booked their guests, who were waiting for tables in every corner. We were offered no hint of an apology, were ignored for the first 10 minutes of standing in their waiting area and instead argued with over our booking and told to stand outside. Needless to say, we won't be going back and I wouldn't have any faith in making a secure booking at this restaurant." - grant, manchester 8/2/08 (visited on a thurs evening) |
