"Having
only seen bad reviews of this place, I've always
avoided it. Late one rainy night however it appeared
to be the only place open so we stumbled in. It
appeared we'd walked in on an argument between the
manager and a party of Italian business men. As
it's not unusual for Italians, with their passionate
hand movements, to look like they're arguing when
they're simply talking, we sat down nonetheless.
The angry businessmen left, still arguing as they
went and the manager then decided to pick a fight
with another customer, whom he thought was American.
When she told him she was from Canada, he laughed
and apologised for his mistake, telling her in pidgen
English, 'I doesn't like Americans'. Then it was
our turn. He came over to apologise for the big
scene he'd made earlier (not realising we hadn't
actually seen any big scene - more's the pity).
And as if the welcome wasn't bad enough, the food
was simply terrible. I had Calzone, which reminded
me of those pizza's you used to make in Home Economics
at school. The salad was brown and the mineral water
I ordered was delivered in the plastic bottle it
was obviously bought at Spa (with around a 500%
mark up on the price). As every other review of
this place says, stay well clear! The worst
restaurant in Manchester by a mile!"
