The Social Cafe Urbis |  | Manchester’s Urban retreat, The Social is Urbis’ own stylish café bar, with a tasty menu and distinctive atmosphere. | | Situated on the ground floor of the iconic Urbis building, you can relax while enjoying the beautiful scenic view of Cathedral Gardens. Sample mouth-watering main courses from the menu, or choose to take-out the excellent selection of dishes. | The Social cafe opens every morning at 10 am; serving lovely breakfast foodstuffs, such as organic porridge, tasty bacon buttys, smoothies, good hot coffee, yoghurts, fruit, pastries or even a full English and lots of other delectable items to go or eat in. | | If you’ve got the time to take for a long breakfast or a lazy lunch the Social Breakfast won't let you down, with dry cured bacon and Cumberland sausage, it even comes with home-made baked beans! |

 | The Social are open right through until 6pm, serving lunch from 11am with a wide variety to choose from. | | Also for lunchtime on the go, The Social serve plenty of salads and sandwiches, along with tasty soups, all available to go. If you’ve got the time they also have specials available to stay and eat, relax and unwind. | A selection of hand-prepared healthy sandwiches (lovingly made each day from scratch), are available to take out for lunch. Fillings vary from day to day and include Fresh Fried Steak and Halloumi with Grilled Aubergine.  | The Social Cafe Reviews | "We've been hearing great things about The Social at Urbis for quite some time. First impressions are of a museum cafe, cold metal tables and wooden chairs nodding more towards a canteen than the quality restaurant you'll actually turn out to find. The staff are extremely friendly and the prices are amazingly low. | The menu has a strong local influence and they also offer Sunday Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding together with many other Daily Specials. | Drinks were also excellent value with many excellent Import Ales. You could quite easily visit The Social just for a drink with a beer menu this good.
